Moby Dicks & Tricky Dicks (And Showtime At The Tractor)

Hey, it's a new year! Happy new year and stuff. No, I didn't make a resolution to "blog more in 2009" but rather to "blog more than 'never at all' in 2009." So: Mission accomplished.

The band and I are in over our heads at the moment, which means everything is going according to plan...

1) The only thing holding back the completion of the album is scheduling conflicts. We're 80% there and--fingers crossed--we'll be able to wrap up the recording in February; mixing to follow.

2) We've also started recording music for Book-It Repertory Theatre's stage adaptation of Moby Dick. It will surely be an atonal masterpiece of sound that will knock your aqua-socks off. I'm also kidding. (I hope I'm kidding.)

3) In the midst of it all, we have a little show going on this weekend at The Tractor Tavern. The Dark Pioneers officially debuted on the Tractor stage in June of 2007, so it was time for a triumphant return.
SUNDAY, January 18th @ 8:00pm
The Tractor Tavern (21+/$6)
5213 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA
With a low $6 cover plus an early start, we've made it a little easier to celebrate the band's one year/seven month anniversary. If you won't be anywhere near Seattle, then here's a picture of Richard Nixon on a Tractor:

My work here is done. See you in 2010!

(And you can sing the blog title above to the tune of "Mairzy Doats" if you'd like.)
